Tesla Model X - Week 11

To end the topic of Tesla's, let's talk about the new Tesla Model X. So if you guys haven't heard by now, there's a new tesla coming out, which is called the Model X. It is the safest, fastest, and most capable sport utility vehicle in the history of automobiles. This car is a seven passenger SUV (sport utility vehicle) and is EPA approved, which comes with AWD (for maximum efficiency and traction), a 90 kWh battery, which you can drive up to an average of 257 mile range with a single charge, and falcon wings doors. This vehicle is extremely fast! It goes from 0 - 60 in 3.2 seconds. That's pretty fast for a SUV.

Like the Model S, the Model X comes with 3 options; P90D, 90D, and 70D. The P90D has a range of 250 miles per charge, goes from 0 - 60 in 3.2 seconds, and has a top speed of 155 mph. The 90D has a range of 257 miles per charge, goes from 0 - 60 in 4.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 155 mph. The 70D has a range of 220 miles per charge, goes from 0 - 60 in 6.0 seconds, and has a top speed of 140 mph.

Tesla Model S - Week 10

To continue on the topic of Tesla's, lets compare the three Model S options, the P90D, 90D, and 70D. What these three options have in common is that they are all EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) approved and come with autopilot. The P90D and 90D both have a top speed of 155mph, but the 70D is a bit slower, which is 140mph.

The P90D option is more of a performance car. It is AWD (all wheel drive),  goes from 0 - 60 in 2.8 seconds, and a torque ration of 713 lbs/ft. This car also has 463 hp and can be driven at a range of 253 miles on a 85kWh (kilowatt hour) battery.

The 90D option is one of their standard cars. It is
AWD, goes from 0 - 60 in 4.2 seconds, and a torque ration of 485 lbs/ft. This car also has 417hp and can be driven at a range of 270 miles on a 85kWh battery.

The 70D option is one of their other standard cars. It either comes in AWD or RWD (rear wheel drive). The AWD Model S 70D  goes from 0 - 6 in 5.2 seconds, and a torque ration of 387 lbs/ft. This car also has 328 hp and can be driven at a range of 240 miles on a 85kWh (kilowatt hour) battery. The RWD Model S 70D  goes from 0 - 6 in 5.5 seconds, and a torque ration of 325 lbs/ft. This car also has 315 hp and can be driven at a range of 230 miles on a 85kWh battery.

All About Tesla - Week 9

In 2003 a young South African entrepreneur by the name of Elon Musk (founder of PayPal, SpaceX, and a few other well known companies) founded what has revolutionized the entire car world as a whole. Elon Musk came up with the brand, Tesla Motors. Tesla Motors was going to be the largest electric car manufacture in the world. As climate change is rising, we needed a way to drop CO2 emissions fast! And Elon Musk found a cure for that problem, all electric vehicles. Tesla Motors began with the Roadster. The Tesla Roadster was a two door convertible all electric sports car. Because of its lightweight design, it was able to perform like its competing automobiles in its class. After the Roadster, a lot of naysayers kept doubting the future of Tesla Motors. But then Tesla brought out the Model S. The Model S is an all electric luxury sedan with surprisingly a lot of performance potential. And now in 2016, they have come out with an SUV, the Model X. Rumor has it that coming soon they'll have an economic car as well that the general public will be able to afford. The best thing, in my opinion, about Elon Musk and his company, Tesla Motors, is that it is truly trying to revolutionize the future for the best of the world. Elon Musk opened all patents to the company so that anybody can take his idea and help save the Earth. This is unheard of, but that is why Tesla Motors is one of my favorite car manufacturers!

The New Bae! - Week 8

So I got a new bae a little while ago! It's a Hyundai Genesis sedan and its my baby. This beautiful car is a five passenger sedan luscious interior. It comes with a 3.8L V6 engine, has 333 horsepower at 6400 rpm, has a torque ratio of 291 lbs/ft (pounds per foot) at 5100 rpm, and has an eight speed automatic transmission with SHIFTTRONIC (this can operare just like a normal automatic transmission, but it also allows you to override the automatic mode by moving the shifter into a second shift gate (to the right of the shift gate) equipped with two spring - loaded positions, meaning either an "upshift" or "downshift"). This luxurious car also comes with either RWD or AWD (rarely) and goes from 0 - 60 in 5.4 second.

The Genisis in general has always been one of my favorite cars, especially when I laid eyes on the coupe. So when I found out I was getting something in the Genisis family I got beyond excited! This has to be one of the best presents my dad gotten me!

2006 BMW M5 - Week 7

The 2006 BMW E60 M5 is a gorgeous piece of metal. The BMW M5 is a high performance version of the 5 series BMW built by the Motorsport division of the company. It is a RWD (rear wheel drive), five-passenger sedan with a 5.0 L V10 engine. It has a 7-speed SMGIII transmission (sequential manual gearbox; single-clutch semi-automatic transmission. The "III" represents the 3rd generation SMG transmission), which is an electrohydraulic manual transmission, goes from 0-60 in 4.1 seconds, comes with 500 hp at 7750 rpm, and has a top speed of 205 mph.

There was this one day where Danny and I were cruising down US-27 in his dads M5, and all of a sudden we hear sirens go off. Danny looks at his rear view mirror and says "5-0 behind us", so i turn around and see a cop behind us. He pulls over to the side of the road and the officer asks for his license and registration. We then ask him why he pulled us over and he told us that the car was too loud and low. But we obviously have no control over that. So the cop left us with a warning and we never road in the beautiful white M5 again, because its too disturbing and we'll probably get pulled over again. So we're just going to leave that to his dad lol.
